Co-Directresses Kimberly Hornbuckle and Mary Jo Higler share the responsibilities for the American Montessori Academy. They both have received certification from the North American Montessori Center.
Kimberly Hornbuckle, Co-Directress has 17 years of early childhood experience and comes to us after teaching for three years in an American Montessori school. She has a teaching license in elementary education with a Kindergarten endorsement. Kimberly was also a Montessori parent. Her son attended a Montessori school until first grade.
Mary Jo Higler, Co-Directress has nearly 20 years of experience working with and inspiring preschool age children. Mary Jo is very familiar with the Montessori philosophy. She worked as a Teaching Assistant at the American Montessori School in Kokomo from October
1999 through February 2002 when she came to work for Bona Vista Programs' Early Head Start program. |
